My Miracle Story

When I was just 3 years old, I was diagnosed with polio during a devastating epidemic in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The virus left me completely paralyzed for over a year and a half. Doctors told my parents I would never walk—or even sit—again.

But my parents never gave up hope. They took me to Mexico, and before returning home, they brought me to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. On their knees, they prayed with all their heart, asking Jesus for a miracle. My father pleaded, “If she’s not going to walk, take her with You—but don’t let her live like this.”

The next morning, I was standing in my crib.

I walked.
The doctors were speechless.
They called it impossible.
We called it a miracle.

Since that day, I’ve never stopped thanking God. That moment shaped my faith, my purpose, and my mission—to share this story so others remember that Jesus is alive, miracles are real, and hope never fails.
